Balanced Living: Take the 7 Day Challenge.

Are You living a Balanced Life?


Do you feel rested, inspired and motivated?

Or do you find yourself feeling tired, overwhelmed or frustrated?


Taking care of yourself

is

an Act of Love.


It is not selfish

It is not self-centered.


When you put yourself first,

It equips you to love others well.


First things First!


Fill your own cup

and let those you love enjoy the overflow.


Put on your oxygen mask

and then assist your fellow passengers.

When we take care of ourselves first, we will be less stressed, less frustrated and have less resentment towards others.


Our energy levels will be higher, our minds will be clear and our bodies will be rested.


I believe there are practical ways to find balance.

There are practical ways to decrease stress, anxiety, and moodiness.


I identify them as the Ten Areas of Focus

When we nourish and nurture these 10 areas in our life we will find balance.


Which areas of your life are needing a bit more attention?

Choose one of the 10 and for the next 7 days intentionally nourish this area of your life.


When we take the first step and focus on caring for ourselves in just one area, we will see the impact, in other areas of our lives. This is #Interdependence. For Example: if we sleep well then our communication with others will be naturally impacted in a postive way).


These are the 10 areas of Focus:

You can Rate yourself on a scale 1-10 for each area. How balanced are you in each area?

1 = extremely unbalanced

5 = somewhat balanced

10 = well balanced


Rating yourself in each area, is a visual and practical way to assess how you are managing overall.

Relationships: Do you feel supported? Is there give and take in your relationships? We do not need an entourage just a few good men and women. Who is a part of your tribe? Are we engaging with emotionally available people? Are we isolating?


Communication: Are your boundaries respected? Are you able to assertively convey your needs? Do you feel heard and seen?


Self-Talk: Are you able to hold yourself accountable while showing yourself compassion? Are you very critical of yourself? Is there a balance of grace and truth?


Coping Skills: Are you able to find healthy ways to manage worries and frustrations?


Purpose & Spirituality: Is there more conflict or comfort when you think about the meaning of life, your purpose and God?


Finance & Career: Are you doing what you love? Do you have a financial plan? A budget? Is your workplace healthy?


Health & Fitness: Are you moving? stretching? drinking water? feeling the sun? taking medications as prescribed? Taking in the nutrients, protein etc.?


Sleep: Are you sleeping for 6-8 hours, do you feel rested? Sleep rituals? Sleep Hygiene?


Organizational Structure Do you have a sense of order to your day? Bedtime? Rising time? Completing tasks? Feeling motivated?


Social Engagement: Are you open to love? Connecting with community? trying something new? Learning something new? Volunteering? Are you open to living and connecting?


So Take the Challenge!


For the next 7 days intentionally focus on one area. Do something to nurture yourself in this particular area.
